We honor our military and our connection to Fort Stewart with the Rock of the Marne Memorial Park. The park is a tribute to our military and offers a special area for reflection and respect.

Rock of the Marne Memorial Park is within sight of Fort Stewart, home of the Third Infantry Division, one of the Army's most highly decorated divisions. The Division earned its "Rock of the Marne" nickname during World War I when it was left to defend itself against an assault when support units retreated. The Division remained "rock solid" in the face of adversity and ultimately earned its Rock of the Marne mantle.
